I recently got one of the worst haircuts of my life! The last time I had a haircut this bad was when I was about nine-years-old and my mom gave me bangs (smh) that didn’t even reach the middle of my forehead (yes, they were that short). All I can say is it’s absolutely traumatizing when you get a bad haircut, especially if your hair takes as long as mine does to grow. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got very long hair, but it took me years to get it this length and to maintain it.
So after this horrific haircut, I’ve been searching and scouring the internet for quick hair-growth serums, vitamins, hair oils, shampoos—basically anything I can get my hands on that will promote growth, and figured I’d find out more about SugarBearHair gummy vitamins for rapid hair growth.

The brand launched in 2016 and literally took off immediately! I remember seeing their spunky blue and pink postings and ads all over Instagram (they definitely have a great marketing team). Since then, they’ve become popular among celebrities and bloggers, as well as high school and college students.

However, I haven’t come across any published studies showing that the specific formula in SugarBearHair improves hair or nails, though I have seen before and after photos on review sites.
According to ConsumerLab.com, the dominant ingredient in SugarBearHair is biotin. The daily requirement for biotin (vitamin B7) is 30 mcg (micrograms) for adults and 25 mcg for 14 to 18-year-olds, and nearly everyone gets this and more from the foods they regularly eat. A daily serving of SugarBearHair is listed as providing 5,000 mcg of biotin – which is 167 times higher than the adult daily requirement.
It’s important to note that the high-dose biotin in SugarBearHair supplements may throw off results from blood tests such as those for thyroid function. If you have to get lab work done like blood tests, make sure to tell your doctor and consider discontinuing use of the vitamin a week prior to the tests.
Online Ratings for SugarBearHair
I’ll tell you what I found out. Several online review websites rated SugarBearHair gummies at least a four out of five stars in affectivity. They’ve got close to 5,000 customer reviews on their website and average a 4.8 rating out of 5 which is incredible.
Some other review sites include,
- Amazon.com which rates them a 4 out of 5 based on approximately 2600 reviews
- Influencer.com which rates them a 4.49 out of 5 based on approximately 400 reviews
- Ulta.com which rates them a 4.5 out of 5 based on approximately 80 reviews
- Highya.com which rates them a 2.5 out of 5 based on 6 reviews
As you can see the majority of the ratings are positive, however, not everyone has seen positive results. Take for example Curly Penny, she reviewed the gummies on YouTube and doesn’t think they work well. See the video by clicking here.
