Avni Parekh Shares Photos From Holi Event, Talks About Friendships, Plus More!

Family Karma episode 12 was a colorful episode indeed. It’s truly incredible getting an opportunity to watch important Indian traditions and events unfold on television.

As a matter of fact, the Holi celebration itself represents the onset of spring. It is also a time to rejoice in the triumph of good over evil.

Now, let’s talk about what unfolded on Family Karma episode 12. There are two epic celebrations that I want to discuss with Bravo TV newcomer Avni Parekh

Vishal Parvani and Richa Sadana Tie The Knot

Watch a segment from Family Karma episode 12 on Bravo TV. Vishal Parvani and Richa Sadana visit the courthouse to get legally married.

Brittany Morales: Finally! Bravo TV fans got a chance to see Vishal Parvani and Richa Sadana attempt to get married. So, they made it to the alter again; then, they had to turn back around.

Then, later in the episode, we watched as Amrit Kapai officiated their wedding. To be frank, do you think their marriage will last?

Avni Parekh: Truth is, it’s not my place to say if their marriage will last or not.

Brittany Morales: Fair enough, I understand. But you know I had to ask! Okay, let’s move on to my next and last question…promise.

Richa & Vishal will last they been dating for years! One thing about ten they share everything with the viewers! #FamilyKarma

Guys Speaking Their Minds and Choosing Sides

Brittany Morales: Family Karma episode 12 showed several of the group conversations that were happening at the Holi celebration.

Vishal and Amrit talked about Anisha Ramakrishna’s dating life. Then, Nicholas Kouchoukos confronted Brian about being a gossip and stirring drama. Tell me, what are your thoughts about that?

Avni Parekh: As an author and educator who speaks to the dynamics within friendships, it was interesting to watch the group discussing each others’ lives — behind the other person’s back.

One of the topics I discuss in my self-help book, Be The Bigger Person: Scenarios & Solutions to Better Yourself, is gossiping.

To that point, I’ll tell you what I tell my readers: “If your friends typically talk negatively about other people, at some point, they may talk negatively about you.”

I’ll also share another very important life lesson about giving away your loyalty to friends. First, loyalty must be earned. That means, it takes a lot of time to assess whether a friend is worth your full allegiance.

For instance, Vishal and Amrit’s friendship goes back to childhood. They’ve grown up side by side, and been a support system to one another as they’ve experienced the ups and downs of life.

Now, take for example, Brian Benni and Anisha Ramakrishna’s friendship. To my knowledge, their friendship formed in the last couple of years because of Family Karma.

My face when Brian instantly went to tell Anisha that Armit and Vishal were talking about her. He delivered that tea straight out the pot! #FamilyKarma pic.twitter.com/t5sXcVWh7F

In the case of Brian telling Anisha what Vishal and Amrit were saying about her relationship, it could be that Brian feels a need to prove to Anisha that their friendship is in fact important to him. Thus, demonstrating his loyalty to her, and their friendship, by telling her.

As a witness peering into this scenario, what I see is, a person taking sides… perhaps unknowingly.

On one hand, Brian is being a genuine friend by giving the heads up to Anisha. On the other hand, he’s telling on Vishal and Amrit before they even have a chance to address it with her, which makes them appear like they are gossiping.

I’ll leave you with another great insight that I share in my book about healthy friendships that will help you decipher which friends are being genuine or disingenuous.

“Healthy friendships have these traits in common; equal amounts of give and take, comfortability in sharing, development of trust, moments of laughter and rejoicing, and shared interests.”

Brittany Morales: Thanks for sharing those helpful tips Avni.

Avni Parekh: My pleasure!
