This month, I’m going to broaden your horizons and help you utilize any leftover cranberries.
Commonly used to make traditional Thanksgiving Day dishes, cranberries also make a scrumptious DIY hair mask best suited for dark colored hair of all textures.
The cranberry and honey hair mask is supposed to boost vibrancy and make your hair look brighter. Plus, it is paraben-free and gentle enough for everyday use.
To add to that, cranberries are full of antioxidants, and have been used for their medicinal properties for hundreds of years.
Even today, it’s used as a common natural remedy to cure urinary tract infections.

Make Cranberry and Honey Hair Mask in 4 Easy Steps
When preparing a cranberry and honey hair mask, be mindful to keep an old towel or cloth around because the cranberries may stain your clothing.
- Rinse one cup of fresh cranberries and then pour the berries into a blender, adding two teaspoons of honey, and puree until they form a paste-like mixture.
- Cover the mixture and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to help it thicken.
- Remove and it’s ready to use.
- Apply it to wet hair and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then, gently rinse out the mask with warm water.
If you have any leftover puree, apply it to your face. Cranberries, and many other nutrient-rich fruits, also make great face masks.
First, apply the mask to your face. Second, leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. Cranberries fight free-radicals that cause wrinkles, they help to keep skin moisturized and help with collagen production.

After shampooing, apply a generous amount of product to your color-treated hair. Gently work it through your hair, from root to tips.
