The Best Dry Shampoo Available in Local Drugstores

best dry shampoo

best dry shampooLadies, have you researched the best dry shampoo available on the market? If you answered no, then you’re going to want to read this.

Upon realizing that my favorite and most reliable option—Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo—was discontinued in local drugstores, I conducted my own research to find out which brand matched my expectations.

A friend of mine recommended Oscar Blandi’s Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray, which comes in a 1.4 ounce bottle and is $11 at ULTA.

After using it for the first time, I immediately had issues with the nozzle and it barely sprayed. Plus it smelt funny and that put me off.

Reviews I read for this brand said they either loved it or it made their hair look greasy, I agree with the latter consensus.

Subsequently, I decided to try Tresumme’s Fresh Start Dry Shampoo, which comes in a 5.7 ounce bottle and is $5.99 at CVS.

Unfortunately, it left my hair looking even oilier which led me to check the reviews for this product (something I should have done beforehand).

The majority of the hundreds of reviews I read for this particular brand claim it makes your hair look greasy.

After two failed attempts, I moved on to try Got 2B Rockin’ It’s Dry Shampoo. It comes in a 4.3 ounce bottle and is available at Walgreens for $6.49.

As many of us know, most of these products when initially applied leave a white reside in your hair, however, once you comb your hair the white disappears.

Sad to say, this particular brand left little flakes in my hair so I won’t be using this one again.

Miracle Dry Shampoo Makes Dirty Hair Clean Again

On my last attempt, I stumbled upon Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo and Salon Grafix’s Dry Spray Shampoo. Both have served a purpose, have high reviews and are available at CVS.

I use the Not Your Mother’s brand for everyday spray and go, which is $5.99 and comes in a 7 ounce bottle, they also have a smaller bottle convenient for traveling.

It makes my hair look clean and helps the strands stay in place. In fact, this was the largest bottle out of the bunch and one of the cheapest.

The dry shampoo by Salon Grafix is $7.99 and comes in a 4 ounce bottle. It is compact, fits into your purse and is also good for traveling, perfect for a woman on the go.

Since dry shampoo is one of those products that every woman should have in her arsenal, it was well worth the wait to find a dry shampoo that satisfied my needs.

I get more compliments on my hair when I have Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo in my hair then when my hair is freshly washed, so it’s a miracle worker for me.
