Hi Leoo! I am so thrilled to actually be chatting with you! I follow you on Instagram via @LeooValera and I’m just in awe with your talent. What inspired you to express your creativity through makeup?
Beauty has always been one of my favorite things, and I love every aspect of skin care. Since I am very creative, one thing led me to another, and little by little I started my career in the world of makeup. So far, I know I’ve chosen the correct road.
I’m a firm believer that you should do what makes you happy because it’ll never feel like work. I’ve seen your videos on YouTube and can tell how passionate and dedicated you are to your craft, and the quality of your videos is incredible. So, I have to know, what is your absolute favorite beauty product?
The Dip Brow Pomade by Anastasia Beverly Hills. I can be in bad times but my eyebrows always have to look spectacular.
So true! Good eyebrows and great hair are a must. Tell me, what’s your number one tip for applying makeup?
If you want your makeup to look impeccable, then develop a skin care routine first, that is the pillar of maintaining luminous and beautiful skin.
That’s such a great point! The concept is also the same if you want to maintain luscious hair. I’m curious to know, which makeup brands would be your dream to work with?
Definitely Anastasia Beverly Hills and Morphe Brushes are brands that I admire and have been using since I started doing makeup. Besides, their products are the best that I’ve ever tried.
You’re right! Both brands are considered top brands in the beauty and makeup world. In fact, I’ve noticed that a huge chunk of male makeup artists swear by their products.
You know, many of the male makeup artists that I follow on Instagram are supporters of the LGBTQ community. I was wondering, what advice do you have for young men and women who are struggling to come out?
Your happiness is yours, nobody else’s. It can be difficult to come out, but once you are out, you will feel like everything changes. You should be happy, we only have one life so it’s best to make the most of it!
I fully agree with you! Life is too short to be unhappy. You are the master your life and control if you choose to be happy or sad. Let me ask you, why are you prideful to be a part of the LGBTQ community?
The LGBTQ community is so strong, and full of creative people with infinite joy, and that makes me feel very proud.
Cheers to that! I think it’s important to take pride in your tribe, and to also recognize the importance of human rights, which includes equality for all people regardless of who they choose to love.
