Choosing the Right Bangs for Your Face Shape

The style of bangs you choose could make or break your look, no lie. Plus, it takes time to grow out poorly cut bangs and you don’t want to have to pay for extensions.

Therefore, choosing the right bangs to complement your face shape is important to consider. Below are a few hair tips to help you make your decision. If your face shape is:

  • Round, then long wispy side swept bangs would be best because they create an illusion of a non-round face shape. With this face shape, it’s best to hold back from getting very short bangs, which bring attention to the round shape of your face. However, if this is the look you’re seeking, then by all means, rock it.
  • Oval, consider yourself lucky. This is the perfect face shape to wear bangs of any style. Choose a bang style your heart desires and make your appointment at the salon.
  • Square, it’s best to have longer sides to balance a square shape. If you have a square jaw-line then avoid center parted bangs and very blunt bangs that are cut straight across.
  • Heart, it’s ideal to cut long layers that frame the face, or cut bangs that go straight across and end at the eyebrows.
  • All Face Shapes, ‘heavy bangs’ complement most face shapes and give off a youthful appearance. Women of all ages can try this.

Best of luck and choose wisely because bangs take a while to grow out and you don’t want them to become a daily nuisance.
