Hi Brandon! Thank you so much for granting this exclusive interview. I follow you on Instagram via @BrandonLuxxe and love your video tutorials on YouTube. I have to tell you, I am absolutely blown away by your talent! What inspired you to express your creativity through makeup? 

I was always in some sort of art class but for some reason it was just not doing it for me.

So one day, I decided I wanted to create art in some other way but I didn’t know what. When I went home, I started browsing through Instagram and stumbled across some makeup looks and I knew instantly that I wanted to try it out.

From then on, I have practiced and practiced and continued to create art through makeup and I try my best to inspire others to create as well. 

Channeling Creativity and Artistic Talents Through Makeup

Honestly, your artwork channeled through makeup is very inspiring. You know, there are so many beauty products out on the market, what is your absolute favorite beauty product? 

Jeffree Star Cosmetics concealer and setting powder, this has been my go to combo for all my looks ever since the day it launched.

These two together work so well. I am amazed by the quality and packaging of the makeup products that he has to offer. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out, I totally recommend using it. 

I’ve actually been searching for a really good setting powder for a while. I’ll definitely give it a try! I’m curious to know, what’s your number one tip when it comes to applying makeup? 

BLEND, BLEND, BLEND! And take your time, it’s a process.

That’s such a good point! I tend to give up too quickly, now that I think about it. Okay, I have to know, which makeup brands would be your dream to work with? 

My dream collabs would be with either Colourpop, Jeffreestar Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Covergirl, or BhCosmetics.

I say these brands because they’re filled with such amazing, good quality products and people.

I truly believe in all these brands and I inspire to be in a position with them not for the money but for the extensive support and long lasting friendships.

As an influencer, it’s so important to align with brands that you believe in, as well as their tribes.

Pride for LGBTQ Tribe and Advice for Coming Out

Speaking of tribes, I love the LGBTQ community. This tribe is full of people with such incredible talent. You bring so much inspiration to the LGBTQ community so I was wondering, what advice do you have for young men and women who are struggling to come out? 

Come out when you’re ready! I personally think time is everything. I know that it is really hard but once you do it, it is going to be a huge weight lifted off your shoulders, and if they don’t understand, give them time as well.

Then, when it’s time, you can educate whoever it is about how we are all the same, just trying to feel loved. 

I fully agree with you. Human beings are human beings regardless of who they choose to partner with. Let me ask you, why are you prideful to be a part of the LGBTQ community? 

I love my community, it is truly filled with such beautiful people and we’re all humans with big dreams and I love seeing everyone’s passion thrive within their work.
