When it comes to the eyes, the window to one’s soul, any and every product is open to exploration.
In fact, eyes and eyebrows carry more weight than most may think. The eyes are what keep contact and attention when conversing with someone. They are also a vessel to convey emotion.
However, what many don’t realize is that eyebrows do the same thing—they convey emotion. When you’re happy, sad, excited, angry, your eyes and eyebrows help to tell your story.

Well defined eyebrows always catch attention, and sadly, so do their counterpart. Poorly defined eyebrows stick out like a sore thumb. With all the numerous solutions to fix and conceal undefined eyebrows, let’s explore the most common – eyebrow pencils.
Top 2 Eyebrow Pencils Available at Sephora & Ulta
After doing some research and chatting with some friends, I discovered two very good eyebrow pencils that are available at Sephora or Ulta for about $20.
- Anastasia Beverly Hills – These eyebrow pencils are specially designed to blend color into the brow to achieve a natural look. The pencil is velvety-smooth on one end and has a built in brow brush on the other end. Besides looking natural, the best part about this pencil is that it comes in six shades; blonde, taupe, medium brown, soft brown, dark brown and caramel.
- Napoleon Perdis – These eyebrow pencils are known to be ultra soft. They glide on easily and blend well. The retractable applicator makes application easy, eradicating the need to sharpen. Plus, the formula is free of mineral oil and preservatives and contains natural anti-oxidants. It is meant to last throughout the day and comes in the following shades, pale rider for blondes and chocoholic for brunettes.
I have tried both and in my honest opinion there are upsides to both of these eyebrow pencils.
With the Anastasia brand, the pencil goes on smoothly and the color blends very well with your natural color, I used the dark brown.
To add to that, I’ve spoken to other women who have used other colors and they love the brand just as much. If you want to do your own research, you’ll find that Anastasia eyebrow pencils have rave reviews.

The Napoleon brand is also great. The color lasts throughout the whole day, has a creamy application and comes highly rated. In comparison to the Anastasia brand, the color is somewhat bolder and I’ve heard that the pencil lasts a little longer.
So give one or both a try and see for yourself, I’m sure you’ll be thrilled with the results! Let the rest of us know which you prefer by commenting below.
